Behavioral Science for Educators

Bridging the Gap Between Intention and Action
About the Programme

Much of the success in schools and then later in life can be attributed to the decisions that students, parents, and teachers make on a day-to-day basis, rather than to intelligence, genes, or social circumstances. Seemingly small human behaviors like procrastination, laziness, impulsiveness, or forgetfulness of teachers, parents, and students can thwart children’s progress, hamper their confidence, or make them hate certain subjects, or abet the development of unhealthy habits.

This course is a deep dive into the application of the science of behavioral change in education. Participants will learn how to identify the psychological and structural barriers to student success and design interventions that bridge the gap between intention and action. This course is for educators who want to move beyond intuition and build a classroom based on a deeper understanding of how the human mind works.
